Distant West Brewing


Longtime home-brewer Greg Macaulay took a leap of faith and decided to purchase a vacant brewhouse in 2023. With his dream starting to become a reality, he knew creating a quality, purposeful brand identity system was critical to the early, and long-term, success of his business. FCS was thrilled to partner with Distant West over the months leading up to their Grand Opening. The goal of the visual identity and packaging system was to be a modern take on classic beer designs and labeling. With an already saturated craft brewing market, "standing out" is nearly impossible. We wanted to avoid cliche PNW imagery and beer tropes, while creating custom marks and typography that make Distant West a unique and authentic brand.
